i just bought some jungle records from a dude on discogs (philbay)
saw he had loads of source direct, added them all standardly, didn't pay attention to the names or anything....

was stunned when one of them turned out to be sands of time

been after that one, but didn't know the name of it

love those sort happy accidents. would recommend dealing with philbay too, real nice guy he gave me a refund as one record jumps slightly (still sent the record tho)

Got some bargains in the music and video exchange in Camden before RDB last night.

Top purchase was a mint copy of this for £12! It was still static stuck to it's sleeve without even so much as a finger print on the blank side or a grain of dust in sight.

I only recently came across Helmut Schäfer, fucking hell, he's intense ...
Perhaps the fact that he killed himself and this is a sort of memorial release changes the perspective and puts on a bit of extra emotional load when listening to it, but that stuff is so alien and bleak and at the same time rich and moving, very impressive.

Beautiful, intense, complex pure drone magic. Really getting into drone stuff at the mo. That Eleh thing on Touch blew me away, and Kevin Drumm's newer stuff is just majestic.
Played loud on a decent set-up, really fucks with your head.
