sorry, my picture selection was a bit cheeky and you couldn't possibly know what this is about if you are not german.
this picture was taken at the nazi attacks (some people would quite rightly call it a pogrom) on a housing estate for refugees in the east-german city Rostock-Lichtenhagen in 1992.
most of the local population cheered the nazis on or actively participated and the police did very little : the attacks lasted a whole week !
most of the attackers were never properly persecuted, and those who were trialed got away lightly.
later the government utilized attacks like these to, of all things, severely limit the until then quite liberal immigration laws.

since over ten years now, rarely a week goes by without racist attacks, often deadly, that routinely get played down by the police as "not politically motivated", or neonazi demonstrations in major german citys.

oh, and the particular picture i posted was taken from german satire magazine "titanic", who took great delight in showing a nazi who had pissed his pants.
i think he later sued them

trope: the picture posted by * was taken during one week lasting attacks of several hundred fascists on a home for asylum seekers and a home of vietnamese workers in the german city of rostock in august 1992. it is photoshopped with a commercial of a german beer brand.
But Alive were a german punk band that had a song about nazis and were referring especially to that picture.
