Theory - Aurora Flash (Covert Operations' "Global Connections" series)

Coincedentally there's a fantastically wise quote on his network status today:

"The one who reveals your faults to you is your true friend; your enemy will cover your faults with flattery and sweet words."

Such a shame that immature dumbasses consistently fail to realise this, and then get on their high horse about being supposedly misunderstood by people who are trying to help them. As a properly true friend said to me a month ago: "Whether you are male or female, if you are manipulative, opportunistic and selfish, you're a wanker and don’t deserve friends until you can earn them, end of. When I was younger I used to be impressed by attractive, talented, successful or just plain confident people. Now I'm older humility and thoughtfulness for others are the only traits that I look for in people I want to spend my time with.

I suggest that anyone, male or female, who causes you such an amount of grief has done you a big injustice and it's best to cut your losses and forget about them."

Meanwhile the leeches carry on bloodsucking the goodwill of others like a vampire with a sweet tooth. I never thought Kevin & Perry would become such an apt sociological metaphor for the degradation of humanity's platonic convergence, and bypassing of refrain from destruction of people other than the immediate self.

Still, if you believe in reincarnation and not me me me nah nah nah I'm not listening, maybe some of us are put here to challenge the perceptions of these idiots into finally rubbing their brain cells (which I'm sure they have) together into a veritable Big Bang, and enabling us to ascend from a 2.4 children, relentless collage of beige. Awooga.

My take after understanding this irony, is that we're all the same; the ones in the bottom stabbing at the top to get up, and the ones at the top sucking the life out of the bottom to climb higher.

I'd like to believe these "individuals" know who they are, since I've compromised with them to the point of vulnerable transparency, but they'd probably be too pig-ignorant, and/or pig-headed to think those quotes in particular apply to their ego. The simple fact is that taxonomy applies to every one of us, me included. If you discard it as a fair-weather "friend", the likelihood is you'll end up decrepit, lonely, or with fair-weather "friends" in future, because anyone with emotional intelligence and maturity will get sick of the relationship(s), and not bother to talk to you again unless you grow up fast, and remove your head from your arse.

Sure, couples still split up, pals fall out, and so on, as sometimes that's for the best. But the commonality is that most of us don't sulk when someone disagrees or speaks raw, rejects such openness, or contradicts themselves when things aren't viewed through rose tinted glasses.

But anyway... this tune says a thousands words for me.
Pleased to come across this little gem on desolat recordings this week.

Weird to see a tech-house house label releasing some very very krautrock inspired music.
Let's hope that this is a sign that people are actually becoming more open minded about
spanning many genres of music within an evening. Then again that's being too optimistic...

Pathetic? Who cares. Shakin' my booty to this Yes
Aaaaaand Mr. Ronson just got outdone by rediscovering an old favourite which deserves even more love than old man Q-Tip.
