I was playing around with Re-sampling last night.
while my sampler slowly re-sampled a file, I decided some stuff up about 8-12bit samplers out of curiousity.
After about an hour of reading the "you don't understand the crrrrunchhh 12 bit X because you have obscure sampler Y" I was totally ready to give up.
so the best argument I could find was the detune and the converters, nobody wants to be wrong about having bought a 12-bit thousand dollar sampler from 1987 with ten seconds sample time in 2010. theres got to be a better reason, right?
Then I read a post about the SP-12's/SP-1200's SSM2040 analog filters, and found this....
