2014 Skindred album Kill The Power sampled by me today. Very nice. Better than Shark Bites And Dog Fights from 2010. On Google Play Music.

^^ the Skindred singer did stuff with Bong-Ra back when right? If I recall correctly.


Checking out the Prohibition (France) reissue of their 1998 lp "14 Ups and Downs" (Prohibited Records - France) from earlier in the year. Obvious Fugazi comparisons, perhaps maybe even The Ex in places. Prohibition reminded me of Sparkmarker (90's Vancouver, BC - Revelation Records, etc) back in the day as well.

Would love to dig up the early Prohibition releases where I can. Good stuff.

Pacific NW hardcore owes them much.  Sparkmarker took part in the 2012 Revelation Records 25th Anniversary gigs that happened in NYC, Chicago, Pamona CA, etc, with a Sparkmarker reunion show in Vancouver in 2012 - with Narrows (ex Botch, These Arms are Snakes, Unbroken, etc) as openers! Nice live clip of one of the songs from the show.
