i am so angered by this game, what a soft couple of goals to concede we should have one, i have been waiting my whole FUCKING LIFE to beat sweden i hate them, lucky bastards.

At least imo opinion Hargreaves was pretty fucking outstanding, i still dont rate Crouch at all and sven should have taken Defoe.

The next game will still be tough as hell and we really need to improve, Lampard in particular.

England should be happy with this result. Before England made it 2-1 Sweden were on the path to victory. The thing that did not surprise me was that England scored the goal on the only chance they had in the second half, you think that Sweden had luck on their side but I thought that England was lucky.


Rooney was not match fit. He's a cute and grumpy little thing.

Hargreaves was perhaps one of the best English players? I know some of you scorn him.

Joe Cole was brilliant, probably one of the best English player in the squad at the moment.

Lampard is always dangerous when it comes to shooting.

Gerrard, lucky bastard, he would not have scored if Alexandersson had marked him properly. He also stood right on one of Sweden's chances.

Robinson was ok as well, especially since he thought (twice) that his team would win it, and England could not deliver the win.

Typical really. I thought the first half was good enough. And, as a bit of a Hargreaves hater i have to say he did pretty well and gave the team a bit of shape, which showed that we cannont play Lamps and Gerrard in the 442. Becks was shit. I dont think we really opened Sweden up at any time either, but they are quite strong defensively. After we scored the goal it was all going so well, Joe Cole taking the piss on the wing, keepin the ball, nice passing.. then we concede and it all instantly goes out the window... oh shit now what lads?! To be fair, having a player injured and subbed in the first and second half does mess your game plan up a bit.

I thought Sweden were OK, not particularly threatening, except from those bloody corners and er.... throw ins.

Carragher had a very poor game - compare his use of the ball yesterday to the FA Cup final

Hargreaves played very well Statto On a couple of occasions he tried to make longer passes and failed, but we'll let that slide

Joe Cole was superb, but the rest of our main midfield (bar Gerrard as the sub) was pretty cack. Was Lampard on the pitch in the second half? I thought Campbell played ok when he came on too - that second goal wasn't his fault IMO, Terry spazzed it (uncharacteristically).

Why the fuck Sven took Walcott along and didn't play him yesterday is absolutely beyond me though. He didn't play Crouch cos of the booking, then when he had to put a sub on after 2 minutes in a game that wouldn't have put us out if we'd have lost it, he put him on anyway. Why not use Walcott for fuck's sake? Cos he's inexperienced? Why'd you fucking take him then? You won't get a better chance to try him out than that, cos every game is a crunch game now.

Well done to Sweden though, showed plenty of fight. Allback had a great game, Ljunberg looke good at times but not as fluid as usual IMO.

but he wasn't going to play 90 minutes (i.e. after Owen went off)
and then Rio had to be taken off as well
with only one substitution left Gerrard seemed a better choice than Walcott really
