actually, a forum thread that contains a range of opinions, links, information from different sources, and debate is imo a much better source that a single article written by a politically neutered ex-clinton advisor.

i think the attraction that forum thread holds for you is that it contains mainly your opinion.
i am no big fan of nyrb, but at least the literacy level among their writers is reasonably high.

But yes Syria is also involved, as the corrupt in Syria would gain from a civil war in Lebanon, just as Israel, US and UK would.

Absolutely nothing to do with communisum vs capitalism which all troops on both sides thought they were fighting for. (Some still won't admit this)
