My four favorite groups/artists from that era: John Foxx, Human League, Gary Numan, Pet shop Boys

Haven't seen the programme in question, but would like to agree with DJ ML - John Foxx was/is indeed great, but never really got/is getting namedropped.

One more post in this thread devoted to Soft Cell and their masterpiece "Sex Dwarf" (yes, this video was banned back in the day....which was early 82.)

Although I think there was also a 12 inch version/mix around of this song which sounded a bit meatier
