why the hell do you need four copies of it???
Breakage - The Look on promo Grin

Some Jeff Mills on Axis, a Cadenza 12 that I don't like as much as I did when I heard it in the shop (Neutral) and a nice James Ruskin 12 with looping bell noises in it.

Techno!

To make people like you jealous. :P

Nah, I just have 4, as a few people I know want them really badly so, I saw them all as business investments.

I end up buying all kinds of weird stuff cos I only shop at ebay.
Ryoji Ikeda - Dataplex
Autechre - EP7
William Basinski - The Disintegration Loops
Supersilent - 6
Derek Bailley - Ballads

have to mention Sound 323 here. Great little shop in Highgate which stocks all sorts of weird, experimental, jazz, classical stuff. Picked up the Basinski, Bailey and Supersilent things there, but had to restrain myself. Just good to find somewhere that stocks all this weird shit.
Bit of a trek if you're not in north London, but worth it.
alpha omega - menace
jonny l - this is hardcore
gremlinz&stranjah - 8th spirit

what did you think of the basinski? i like quite a lot of his other stuff but wasn't really into that one. didn't really have the patience.
Is Basinski the guy who performed the hour long records?

If so - are they worth listening to?

I find 20 minute Miles Davis excursions quite a challenge - not really sure how i'd cope with these!
Ambient pioneer kinda dude. Very concept-y. And yeah - long songs.. but they're not really songs in the first place so that's sort of irrelevant. Difficult to describe really.

That CD Blunt got, is him finding some old tapes and just looping them till they die, watching the music transform as it does so. Very arty and pretentious Smile
