I buy everything that comes out of Type on sight. Not listened yet. What do you think of it? Wave

Me too (although I'm missing some classics on there i.e. that Grouper one for starters!).

"Way Their Crept"? I prefer that to "Dragging A Dead Deer Up A Hill".

Quote:Really liked it on first listen, but haven't had a chance to go back over it yet. Tends to be the case that I buy more music than I'm capable of devoting proper listening time to. But I know I'll make more time in the future.

Same here. The last track really stuck out for me. I'm currently compiling a mixtape of tracks with ghostly textures and that'll be on there.

Quote:Different from the past stuff that I've heard from him, which tends to be more layered dense drones, which I like but can only take so much of. This seems to have more direction and ambient textures.

On a side note saw Helios - Eingya LP come up for sale on discogs the other day (for not an extortionate price) and bloody slept on it like a mong. Gone the next day. Icon_cry

Shame. I bought the CD from the Type website. You can get all their stock as Mp3 releases at boomkat (which I generally do as I have so little space for CDs).
Mika Vainio-Vandal EP
Muttley Wrote:I don't have The Alps. Will check it out. Just ordered "Give It Up" vinyl and CD bundle. I love Zelienople's dexterity. They're in a lot of my mixes, available below:

The Alps are members of Tarentel, which is probably the most important group of the last 5-6 years for me. On the Type album they play a sort of relaxed Morricone meets Krautrock thing, I like this a lot. And everything I heard by Zelienople so far has been great, I'll defninitely get this new one Grin

Randomly popped into a 2nd hand store (just because I was passing) and found these:

Seba and Robert Manos -Heaven sent (Soul:r)
VIP Crew - Special Request (Strictly Underground)
Deep Blue - Momentum/Immersion (31 Records)
Alaska - Invisible/The Vortex (Renegade Recordings)
Dom and Roland - Trauma/Transitions (Renegade Hardware)

and about 4 strange oldskool hardcore bits I've never heard of before, and a few I've got already that I'll list on discogs for sale.

60p each! Icon_eek

sleeve insert Wrote:this is a 1000 lock-groove LP, 500 per side – while I was listening to it at home, I noticed some of the grooves were untrackable, the needle would jump to the next groove – I don't know if this is from the mastering, the pressing or turntable sensitivity but I certainly hope you don't encounter this same problem – if this copy should track only 990 lock-grooves, then please accept my apologies for the inconvenience
