When Timeless first came out the term 'Future Urban Soul' music was bandied about...

...but the trouble is the word 'soul' in the title is slightly misleading if a choon doesn't have a soul ellement in it!

'Future Urban' has a ring to it but says nothing and sounds really catchphrasey like the term 'intellegent'!

I really hate genre names (I know we need a term) and usually call everything dance music, not even D&B, as even this term sets up a stack of preconceptions in peoples heads.

I think whatever name is used it should reflect the global nature of the music now so something like...

...Global Beat!

I don't reckon so - I think 'Progressive' is about as bad as 'Intelligent' for denoting wankery of the highest order... leavs itself open to all sorts of mud-slinging, and also to abuse by superior types - even though we all SHOULD think our music Is superior hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!

Ahem. Excuse me. What I meant to say was this: this is ALL about how OTHERS see us and about making the right impression. And I think 'Progresive' sounds too full of itself and thus could be used as a stick to beat us with!
